Feelings Never Die

by polyblogger on Jun.23, 2009, under Polyblogger, Ranting/Trivia

It’s hard when you have relapse moments where you reminisce about the past. What are you to do? We are in a new town, a new chapter of our lives, a new season of this show we call life. Some people got killed off in the last season and now’s the time when all the new people come in to replace them.

But it seems roles just want to be reprised. I wish I knew when I could let go of the past and be completely free from it, but for now I still cannot. There’s no new love interests to report, no new juicy gossip for me to share to you. I’ve been putting my head down and working, working, ignoring any bit of distraction in an attempt to not focus on the past or worry about the future.

Dating’s tough. It’s tough when you don’t know what the future holds for you, or even if there is a future.

It’s Been Awhile!

Welcome to PolyBlog Season 2!

What you’ve missed: We broke up with Alice again, but got back together, only to breakup again and get back together one more time before finally breaking up again last week.

Other than that, not much new!  But times are changing and we’re apt to make something new.  It’s time to stop dwelling in this past, trying to salvage something that cannot be salvaged.  We’re ready to start anew; we’re movin’ on! (Give us at least 30 days to make sure we’re not going to try again with Alice, but I seriously, seriously hope we’ve grown up a bit.)

My wife was reading a report the other day from someone who said that gay marriage is wrong, so is polygamy.  The ideal household for a child is with a mother and a father, and just those two alone.  Grandparents living with you? HAH!  Single mother? Well that’s better than than having two same-sex parents!

I hate ranting and yet I have to when I see things like this.  In Utah a few years back a man was tried in Court for Polygamy when he and his wife had a live-in girlfriend.  The State stipulated that the live-in girlfriend created a Common Law Marriage and thus had commited the heinous act of bigamy.

2000 years ago, being a Christian got you killed.

1000 years ago, not being a Christian got you killed.

500 years ago, being a witch got you killed.

250 years ago, being a patriot got you killed.

150 years ago, being a Mormon got you killed.

75 years ago, being an African American got you killed.

50 years ago, being a homosexual got you killed.

Yet over the years these have become accepted and the mainstream doesn’t fight it, unless you are on the last item of that list.  Don’t worry, your liberation will come soon.

Morality, Virtue, Values are all words that describe what the Majority believe everyone else should do.  They are based on the fact that they don’t want to do it themselves (as a whole anyway) and no one else should.  They have nothing to do with what is actually moral or immoral, virtuous or evil, ideals or mandates.

Don’t be a martyr.  Don’t flaunt yourself; its not necessary.  The time will come when we don’t have to use pseudonymns to post online to avoid persecution by the Government or others.  But for now

Purple Butterfly Kisses

by polyblogger on Sep.04, 2008, under Ranting/Trivia

Today’s a tough day.  It really hurts not having her here.  I know she’ll be here later, she has all of her stuff here and she and I are still friends but it’s hard.  Hopefully it won’t get me too bad…  To be honest, I’m looking for a rebound to take my mind off of her.  I know its not a good idea, and definately not the right approach, but I could use some affection that she can’t give me anymore.  In some senses this is harder than breaking up when you’re not poly — you do have someone there who loves and supports you and you feel guilty that you’re upset even though you have that love.
